Juventus handed Weston McKennie boost! USMNT star pictured training just one day after injury scare in Roma clash

The USMNT midfielder was forced to limp off the pitch in the 96th minute after putting in a positive performance in the Bianconeri's 1-0 win over Jose Mourinho's men on Sunday. However, Juve fans can breathe a sigh of relief after McKennie was spotted back in training the next day after overcoming that minor setback in his lower body.

McKennie could have got on the scoresheet against Roma after he was set up by Federico Chiesa, but the midfielder's eventual attempt was saved by an alert Rui Patricio. However, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri was pleased with McKennie's all-round performance and praised the USMNT star for how hard he has worked to turn his career around after a poor loan spell at Leeds United.

McKennie will look to carry his impressive form into 2024 as Juventus seek to close the two-point gap between themselves and Inter in the Scudetto race. However, Allegri's side have a Coppa Italia clash with Salernitana on January 4 to deal with before they can shift focus back to Serie A, with a clash against the same opponents scheduled just three days later.
