The French full-back has joined the German side after just a few days of conversations between the two parties after the Bavarians' attempts to sign Trippier were shut down by the Magpies, who wanted to keep the 33-year-old at the club despite their issues with the Profitability and Sustainability rules limit. The club also revealed that he has signed on till the summer of 2028.
Galatasaray revealed the details of the Frenchman's move to the defending Bundesliga champions. The signing was completed for a fee of €30 million (£25.6m/$32.5m) guaranteed plus €5 million (£4.2m/$5.4m) add-ons and a percentage of any future sale. It was also decided that there would be two friendly games with 50% of the profits going to Galatasaray.
