𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜 𝐕𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲’𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

Kim Kelly, the Chief Stipendiary Steward (CSS) of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, will step down in January 2023. Mr. Kelly joined the Club in 2002 and was named CSS in 2009.

Mr. Marc Van Gestel has been chosen by the Club to succeed Mr. Kelly. In 1992, Mr. Van Gestel began his career as a stipendiary steward. In 2006, he was named Racing NSW's deputy chairman of stewards. In 2016, he was named Racing NSW's chairman of stewards.
