Istataba, who was trained by Michael Clements, appears to be in great shape for another triumph.

With 15 horses entered, trainer Michael Clements will have a strong showing on Sunday.

He will be the trainer with the most clients, based on the statistics.

He was very active yesterday at the track, and two of his runners for the meeting stood out. They were Istataba and Tiger Roar.

Both enter Sunday's contest with impressive credentials, and they might lead Clements' push for honors.

Tiger Roar completed the 600-meter distance in a brisk 36.8 seconds, while Ibrahim Mamat, a first-season trainee, drove Istataba's effort over the same distance in 38.1 seconds.

On Sunday, Clements will have both horses under control and they could cause harm to anyone who stands in their way.

After two respectable finishes in elite events, Tiger Roar enters the fray.

In his most recent outing, the Singapore Derby early last month, he finished fifth behind Lim's Kosciuszko. After being forced to race wide for the most of the 1,800-meter distance.

A few while earlier, he received a handsome check for placing third behind Relentless in the Stewards' Cup over a mile.

Tiger Roar entered those competitions fresh off of an amazing victory in a Class 3 contest in early June.

He won the race by 11/2 lengths that day while towing a 58kg burden. The person riding in the lead was Manoel Nunes. In just 14 races, he had already won six times, and this was his 11th time finishing in the money.

The Falcon Racing Stable must be immensely proud to have him compete in their silks, and Clements must be overjoyed to have him in his barn.

Just last week, Tiger Roar performed admirably in a trial, finishing behind stablemate Muraahib.

Yes, he is far from being complete. In fact, he should pick up a lot more victories to add to the six he has already.

With a featherweight of 51.5 kg, he enters the action on Sunday, and the 1,400-meter distance of the $85,000 Class 2 event seems suitable.

Istataba is yet another rising star. She has only had one victory in eight attempts, but she appears to be the front-runner in Sunday's $50,000 Class 4 turf race (1,600 meters).

Well-bred and imported from Argentina by the Al Rashid organization, Istataba finished second on July 31 but was decisively defeated by In All His Glory. But prior to that, the Treasure Beach mare's form was excellent.

In the Singapore Three-Year-Old Classic in the beginning of July, she finished second to Golden Monkey.

She had just placed fourth in a blanket finish in a novice 1,400-meter race in mid-June.

On Sunday, Istataba crosses the mile for a second time. Her sprinting style, in which she exits midfield with a strong surge, makes it seem like it would be exactly up her alley.

The manner No More Delay conducted himself outside of the Clements yard held a lot of promise.

He ran the 600 meters at a sluggish 42.6 seconds, but that hit-out was intentional. No More Delay, who is being trained by former jockey Richard Lim for the JFK Stable, is doing well.

Although he has only competed in a few races—he has only faced the starter nine times since July of last year—he has demonstrated definite talent, and his connections must undoubtedly be pleased with his performance.

Rapidly closing in on $100,000 in stakes money, the son of Zoustar could push his earnings into six figures on Sunday.
